Ana is a movement artist and designer. She started her dance studies in Mexico and continued in the United States. Ana has performed in different venues like Dixon Place, Triskelion Arts Theater and Greene Space, and the streets and plazas of New York, where she was part of very playful and meaningful choreographic processes. She is certified and licensed as a yoga teacher and Mind Body Dancer® teacher through the Perri Institute for Mind and Body. Ana now teaches yoga at Urban Fitness in the city of Cuernavaca, Mexico and she also teaches Body Awareness classes to a group of guitarists. This is the third year that Ana teaches yoga at Elizabeth’s Johnson Group Retreats in the white mountains of New Hampshire.
what inspirations in your life do you use in your teaching and how?
I get inspired by nature, composition in a photographic or graphic image, I also get very inspired by personal growth. I guess I sometimes communicate to my students what I am practicing personally.
