“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”
– Albert Einstein
I grew up in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania. I forget all about it sometimes when I get stuck in my New York City terrain for months on end.
On Saturday, I took a daytrip “home” to visit my parents. Everything was green and lush and I felt like a fairy floating around the garden and trees on the property. The drive itself eased my brain, but it was nature that reminded me to breathe deeply. By observing new flowers, bird nests, flowing river sounds, enormous trees swaying in the breeze, I was instantly re-connected to my natural self and confident with where I was in all aspects of my life at that very moment.
Perhaps this week you might pick a beautiful space to visit for a day or just a break: a park, a river, or a destination a little further away if you have the time to get away. Look up, look around, breathe in, breathe out, and remember: you too are part of the natural world you are observing. You belong there and it welcomes you “home”.
